My name is Steven Borchers and I am beyond excited to be the new Vice Principal here at Castori Elementary! This is my first year in an administrative role, so there will definitely be a learning curve, but I can’t wait to support our teachers, staff and students as well as learn from the best educators around!

 

I am originally from Davis and got my Liberal Studies degree and teaching credential at Cal Poly. I have a background in teaching upper elementary, where I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades over the last ten years in Woodland, and Rancho Cordova. I am a huge proponent of building relationships early on in the school year and place an emphasis on getting to know students on a personal level to help build their confidence in the classroom. Also, I love teaching math and nerding out over best teaching practices and fun and creative ways to engage students.
